Quickie

Really nothing much happening here. Work is a bit quiet, we're waiting for the election to be called. My CPA module has arrived so I have to start reading that. This is the third module I'm taking and I would have 3 more to go after. I'm hoping to finish it all by the end of next year, but it would all depend on my enthusiasm this semester. In order to finish by that time, I would have to enrol 2 modules next semester. As I have found out, my brain capacity is getting smaller as I get older. It's a bit difficult for me to concentrate at work, do my normal everyday stuff and then study. So studying for 2 tests at once would probably cause me a lot of stress. But I might go crazy and just want to get this over with as quickly as I can.
My love life is quiet. I did get a sort of marriage proposal from an ex but it's not something I'm taking seriously. The way he asked me and the reason behind it has me convinced that he's not really ready for that kind of commitment and frankly neither am I. I enjoy my freedom and my independence too much.
My friend Simone was here last week. This is her second visit this year. Thankfully she arrived on a weekend so we were able to go and see some tourist places. I'm hoping she gets at least two flights a year here to Brisbane so that we can see each other regularly.
I was able to speak with my friend Chris, whom I haven't spoken with in such a long time. He's always busy and hard to catch. We were supposed to talk again yesterday but I wasn't really up to it.
My friends and I watched an International Film Fest Movie last Saturday. It was a film based on a book by Ethan Hawke called "The Hottest State". It was surprisingly good. The main character William was endearing and funny. There were also moments where I just cringed at the things he did and I just wanted to say "Stop that!" but of course it's only a movie. :)
Yesterday was a crappy day. I couldn't keep anything down. Everything I ate, I threw up. I felt bad wasting food. I'm better now and just finished lunch which is thankfully staying down.
A friend of mine is getting married in 2 weeks. It's going to be a big wedding with a lot of people I don't know. At least Loren will be there so it won't be boring.
