I haven't watched a movie in a really long time. (For me who lives in a country where there is not much to do, watching movies is one of the best past times. And not being able to watch one in almost two months is a grave situation indeed!) I did watch some DVD's these past few months, but nothing compares to the big screen.
Last Saturday, my brother and I watched V for Vendetta. What can I say about this movie aside from great? I was engaged in V's life for 2 hours. A character without a face but full of personality. Proves the idea that a movie will be great without a handsome face. But in deference to Hugo Weaving he played the character so well. Of course, there's Natalie Portman..... is there a movie that she has done where she acted horribly? This tiny girl has so much prescence!
The story of this movie is about revenge. True, this topic has been used time and time again but V's story is unique. He was able to turn a personal agenda into a national cause. The selfish drive became a selfless act. Is there really anyone in this world as fearless? Maybe the world would be a better place if there is....
I won't spoil the movie for those who haven't watched it yet. But this is really one good movie.
