Just got back from watching "The Producers" and I must say that I feel very lighthearted. I've always been a fan of Nathan Lane and I've been wishing to see this show when I heard about in Broadway. It's a good thing that they made in into a movie for people like us who could not afford to go to New York just to see a Broadway show. I would still watch it in Broadway if i could, just to see it live.
Early this day, I watched Memoirs of a Geisha on VCD. The copy was clear but kind of lost its impact on the small screen. Maybe I would still try to see it in the moviehouse, this week hopefully. If you've read the book, you might be a little disappointed with the screenplay. If you haven't then this would be a good encouragement to read the book. I reread the book just about 2 weeks ago to refresh my memory and the imagination is much better in this case. The little girl who played Chiro was very convincing and Zhang ZiYi was a good Sayuri, but all the other cast was not as vibrant as the characters from the book. But as I said, watching it on the big screen might change my mind.
Underworld Revolution, Just Like Heaven and Rumour Has it are all out in the cinema as well..... I might go see those too in the next couple of weeks.
So many good movies showing this time, I hope I get a chance to see them all! Harry Potter, Narnia and Corpse Bride were the last movies I saw (although I watched Narnia on DVD) and I hope the interval this time wouldn't be as long. I just realized that watching movies really makes time fly by faster and that I'm not as bored as I usually am.
