A Very Long Engagement, Elektra and Closer

I watched three movies this past few weeks. Loren and I watched A Very Long Engagement on my birthday. That movie was really something. I don't know if I should recommend it or not. There were times in the movie where I was thinking.... I wish that she finds him already!.... There were times that I forgot how long it's been. So, my recommendation on this one is if you liked Amelie because of the actress, you wouldn't be disappointed with her here. But if you're the kind who can't sit still reading subtitles... maybe you should let this one pass!
Last Saturday Loren, Marx and I watched Elektra. It was a bit disappointing. Some of the fight scenes were good, and of course I like looking at Jennifer Garner. The effect of the movie was a bit like Daredevil to me, there was something about it that makes you say "hmmmm, that wasn't so bad, but it could have been better". So it wasn't a complete waste.
Yesterday I watched Closer with some work friends. I can honestly say it was better. Having Natalie Portman show her butt in those G-strings helped a lot too! (I think I might have been a guy in my past life! Hahaha!) Aside from the girls (Jude Law was yummy as well), the story was a bit more original. It was a bit funny and sad. It was the kind of movie that makes you analyze without you noticing it.... or maybe that's just me!
I'm looking forward to watching Alexander, Alfie and Ray. They're all showing here now, but I just can't find the time to watch it! Especially Alexander which is almost three hours long! Hopefully I can watch them all before they stop showing it at the cinemas.
